Sunday Blues

The original plan was to go to Rockwell last Sunday but we weren't able to go. Sad story. So we went to ATC instead and chilled for a while. I bought two books. Yay.

I finally bought The Mark of Athena! After 736743 years of waiting for it to be released, I finally have it on the palm of my hands! The story revolves around seven demigods on a quest to fight Gaea, the earth goddess and close the Doors of Death. But there's also a twist because obviously, there's something fishy about Annabeth and Athena and how she wants Annabeth to avenge her. I can't wait to finish it and find out what happens next because I am totally bewildered. Really.

I am not heartbroken or whatsoever but Sir Ramon's formspring amuses me. Why not buy his book, right? Hehehe

And I also bought Ramon Bautista's Bakit Hindi ka Crush ng Crush Mo? The title says it all. The whole book consists questions from different people and each question is partnered by  Sir Ramon's replies, advices, words of wisdom and some procedures on how to live an awesome life. I had fun reading it and I learned a lot, Hahaha! You should get your own and start living your life in a different manner, especially if you're brokenhearted. HAHAHAHA 

Also, it explains the world of Friendzone, why does it exist and how to prevent it. 

Anyway, Sir Ramon's penchant for giving hints on how to survive the cruel world of love never fails to amaze me. Wow that seemed so deep but yeah. Hehehe.

And yup, we watched a movie! It was Vice Ganda's new movie. It was pretty funny, actually. Then we ate dinner in Amici. Their mushroom soup gives me hope. I could eat it for one whole week. You should try it some time.

Sushi and Burgers

Last Saturday me and Sam bummed around at Lara's place. We seriously needed some catching up. We were supposed to go to SM Southmall to go ice skating but our plan was ruined because Sam went home late. But all was well and we sorted it all out. Arrived at around 4:00 pm (?) and waited for Sam to arrive. We bummed around for like an hour or so and talked about school and people and many wonderful things. Hehe.

Hi Sam.

We stayed in Lara's room for a while but then we felt hunger creep inside our bodies so we decided to go out for some burgers! We went to Zarks. We ran into Neil, Sam's ~classmate~. Eheheehhe. Their Philly Cheesesteak was SO DAMN GOOD. Okay I'm not even kidding. I finished my burger in about 10 minutes or so because it was so good. Then we were about to pay for the bill when the waiter said that we shouldn't worry about it because Neil's family already paid for it. AHMAHGAD. Okay I ordered a burger worth 180 and all of a sudden it's free. God bless Neil's family and the wonders of Zarks. 

We left Zarks, with a very heavy feeling in our stomachs because we were so full and we just want to give up on life already. But we can't because we still have to go to Ruins and buy DVD. I bought three DVDs for only 100 Pesos. Dark Shadows, Crazy Stupid Love and The Campaign it is. I missed those movies on the cinemas so I took the only chance to see it. On pirated DVD. I'm sorry. 

Then I bought sushi! I couldn't help but get tempted because I've been craving for sushi for a long time now and I wanted to hug Tropical for having sushi.

Then we walked from Tropical to Serenitea. Imagine how long the road is. We had to walk the only lonely road. The boulevard of broken dreams. (Joke feeling Green Day).

Now the party don't start till we walk in......on Lara's room. AW YISS.

So we bought these thick nose packs. It was very sticky and it's like creeping inside your face. And you're suppose to remove it once it dries. And god, it was very PAINFUL. I had legit tears in my eyes when I peeled it off. It was very hard.  But it's effective because my blackheads were gone and pretty sure all the oils and the dirt are absorbed by the white cream. Hahaha.

Fangirling about something and me being sick because I have colds and I hate colds. Appreciate the burger beside us. It smells like steak.

Marveling about how the comforter + the blanket feels heavy and warm above their bodies. 

Then the "party" went on. Took a lot of pictures on Photobooth, stalked a lot of people, stalked a lot of blogs and talked about life and how hard it is to be a sexy teenager. Joke.

Well I hope to have another sleepover with them! But not soon enough because school starts next week. AWW

Cotton Buds

Friday was a very chill day for me and it reminded me of Summer. It was so hot and the electric fan was on MAX and there were a lot stains, skid marks and paint. I finally decided to create something and spend time with my acrylic friends.

I know it looks so ugly. I don't know what to do with my life right now. It's not yet done but it's nearly done. I used cotton buds to paint this because I'm not good friends with my paintbrush. Now all I need is a new watercolor set and new Round, Filbert and Rigger paintbrushes. Also new colored pens. My Play-Ons are running out of ink and I lost more than half of them It's not even my fault. 

And yup, I did it! I still need a lot of supplies to finish this baby up. So someone please give me new sets of coloring materials PLEASE? 

You probably think this blogpost sucks because it doesn't make any sense AT ALL. But as soon as I'm done doing my tasks I promise to put them here YAY. Hooray for my productive Friday + weekend. I missed this.

Staycation

First day of sembreak yesterday and all I did was watch HBO, be on the internet for a long time, stalked someone's blog, listen to a lot of music and eat a lot of mac 'n cheez. Hell yeah I feel like a hobo without a beard but with a nice home and a refrigerator. God bless semestral breaks and its wonders. Now I can go on for two weeks without worrying about school projects and al that stupid crap. Aw yiss.

I took some time using my ~photography skillz~ while lying on our couch. It was pretty hot and the sun was shining through our curtains and it looks pretty I can't.

Anyway I finally ordered my SVA catalog! Hope to get it soon, though. I'm stoked to see all the illustrations. Maybe I could use them as an inspiration for my next project or something. I don't know, I feel like I'm in dire need to create something big next year. Or maybe on Christmas Break. Hehe.

My sembreak will sure be filled with a lot of new work. I hope this break will last forever. Anyway the rain won't stop. Bummer.

It talks in tongues and quiet sighs

This is clearly, by far, the most tiring week of my life. I had a lot of schoolworks to do, handouts to read, group mates in English to treat like children I have to babysit and formulas to memorize. I want to scream 'Eureka!' after having fulfilled to complete my tasks for this whole week but I think I haven't found the solution on how to manage my time properly. Sleep deprived, proper lunch/breakfast-deprived and lots and lots of types of being deprived from anything. Sigh. 

It was fun, though. At least I'm experiencing the 'Junior Life of being a Junior'. I just made that phrase up last summer. It just came into my mind. I don't know. Haha. 

But: 

• Our Romeo + Juliet play went well. Even though it was a total failure. It kind of turned out to be a comedy instead of a tragic love story. It was hilarious. I'm sorry.
• I passed my PTs in time! 
• Presentation in SS was great. I portrayed Athena, the goddess of wisdom. I got a 94%!!! HUZZAH.
• 50% of the quarter exams are done. Another set of exams this Tuesday. UGH.
• I finished my book! It was lovely.
• SEMESTRAL BREAK IN A FEW DAYS

Anyway Thursday was great because I took a lot of photos. Our school is blessed with nice spots. 

 I'm proud because I took this photo and it looks so pretty.

It really is Halloween! I'm excited for Halloween this year, I don't know why. I don't even go to Halloween parties and all that. I don't even wear costumes but I'd like to try it!

My 2010 flickr account is officially dead. It was very hard to let it go because it has been with me for 2 years and 8 months. It was a long journey. I knew I had to make a decision and I'm glad I chose the right thing to do. (Yes, I made it sound like I removed the life support from someone very important to me who's dying). 

Anyway, I deleted my 2012 flickr account because it doesn't look like me and it's so not...... me. Haha. I mean can you just imagine how my flickr would look like in front of your eyes if my url is "akindofmagic727"??? I know! It would look like I'm trying to make people laugh in a circus place or something. I was so pathetic back then; I didn't know the word "photography" or "photographer" required the meaning of being serious and adventurous. It also meant being elaborate and all. I was twelve back then I didn't know what was flickr for. I thought it was for uploading "cute" and "inspirational" photos you found on Google images. Whoops. 

Go on then, feast on my old flickr account and laugh at how ridiculous I was.

I actually edited my account but I decided to delete it, anyways, because it looks so PATHETIC.

The Fourteenth

I kind of woke up early today and I feel great. I fixed this new blog of mine and I've never felt so proud of myself because after a day of hating myself for not knowing how to put these widgets, I managed to figure it out myself. Huzzah. 

Anyway, we went to ATC last night to wander around and because we were bored. We went straight to Powerbooks to buy a new book. I finally have something to read yay. It's been a long time since I've kept myself occupied with a book. It's called "This is a Love Story" by Jessica Thompson. I missed reading romance and I thought this was the perfect choice to tickle my fancy for romance. Plus, the cover looks cute and simple. 

The story revolves Sienna and Nick, who first met on a train, both on their way to work. It's kind of funny how they first made contact because of squirrels on water skis. They like each  other. I'm not telling you the rest of the story because I want you to read it. And it's very relatable. The way Sienna describes everything and how she looks at Nick is "amen"-worthy. I hope you get me, though. 

Can we all appreciate my hot chocolate please.

Ways on having a perfect hot chocolate on a Sunday:

• Empty a packet of Swiss Miss on a mug. You can use a different brand; it's up to you.
• Instead of hot water, put milk.
• DO NOT ADD WATER, JUST MILK.
• Not. A. Single. Drop. Of. Water. Please.
• Voila, a very creamy hot chocolate. It's waaaay better than Mcdonald's hot chocolate. I trust you.
• Then go read a good book and engulf yourself with what I call "book feels" feelings. 

Listening to Florence + The Machine and The Naked and Famous makes a Sunday great, even though the thought of Monday and school haunts me. Hell week next week because Romeo and Juliet play, Performance Tasks and Quarter Exams.

Saturday & Bloglovin

Since this is my first time in blogger I still have a lot of editing and tweaking to do on this blog. From the looks of it, my blog looks so boring I can't even bare to look at it. But patience, Audrie. Patience. Someday this will have a generous amount of movie/book reviews, some drawings/paintings I did in the past. Someday. 

Today is Saturday and I have a lot of writing to do. I missed writing stuff because one week without writing is one HELL week. I can't even fathom the feeling of not being able to write. You don't probably understand, huh? Oh well. I wasn't able to write for the whole week because long tests are up and I have to study. I can't tolerate another failing grade that's why I'm doing my best to understand every lesson given to us, especially the ~electron affinity~ on Chemistry and the ~asymptotes~ on Trigonometry. I still don't get why we need those stupid formulas in our lives but then again, this is the great unknown. No one knows, hence my last sentence. 

And well, despite my attempts on fixing this newly-made blog of mine, I failed. I do not know how to edit the description and everything else. So YouTube tutorials, here I come.

By the way, check this out! I got my first ever Bloglovin account and I feel cool. I'm like to those professional bloggers you see on the internet who blogs about sensible things like what books to read and how not to wear a green scarf with a yellow coat! Cool beans. 

We're going to ATC later to buy new books. My dad will pay for it. I love him. 

Daylight

I'm just gonna keep this here in case I get tired of tumblr. Well I discovered something. If we're talking about pros and cons here, well I found the 'con' in tumblr. I once tried uploading this 6.5mb-sized photo and tumblr won't allow me to upload it since every photo has a limit of only 5mb. Not very practical for a blogger who likes to edit her photos like me. Since I do not own a very fancy DSLR, I still edit some of my photos. Well 'some' is very crucial. About 20% of my photos are edited. Yeah I thought you should know. 

Anyway, I'll keep this here, maybe I'll post something very worth blogging here in the next future. Plus, I'd love to explore the world of blogging with different blogging platforms hehe. And yup, I know a lot of good bloggers who transferred from tumblr to blogger or any other blogging platform. I'm such a copycat but oh well. 

Don't know why I took this photo but the Christmas Lights looked so beautiful I just can't help it. Yup it looks bad.
