Biyernes Santo

Last Friday, my dad and I went to BGC to ~relax and unwind~. Also because Fully Booked hehe. We were surprised by the wide, unloaded road. There was literally no traffic and it felt so free. It kind of looked like a zombie apocalypse occurred. It was a very unusual sight because EDSA is this stressing strip of road filled with smoke-belching cars and all that polluting sight. Anyhoo, it was great because yay no traffic!

We were surprised by the number of people strolling around the place. Little did we know that a solemnization of Holy Week is being held. BGC organized the whole place and they made it look like a museum of the life and death of Jesus.
This is the part wherein the place is filled with mirrors. People are asked to look at the mirrors and think about the fears that scare them or are scared to face. Pretty creative, though.

From station five, I think.

Alveo Corporation will plant trees! I think every strip of green cloth represents one tree.

This was probably the most genius ideas of all. People can actually share those pains with Jesus. I didn't try it, though.

Station nine!
The red piece of cloth taken from the second station will be hammered in this big cross. It symbolizes our sins.

These pieces of papers are all special prayers for the important people/loved ones.

I't's very nice to know that people haven't really forgotten about God.

The con of this whole experience was the large number of people and the blazing heat. We weren't able to eat a nice dinner. We were so hungry we can't even function properly. We can't even get in since every. Single. Restaurant. Has. A. Freaking. Waiting. Line. Like, are you serious? But that was okay. At least I took a time out from everything else and at least I got to experience something different this holy week.

If you're going to ask if we ever ate dinner that night, yes we did. We went all the way to Alabang to meet up with my family so we could eat a proper dinner. And thank the Lord heavens above, North Park was open. I was craving for Chinese food that time and I was so happy yayyyy.

We then headed straight to Acacia Hotel to stay a bit longer with my cousins. This is my cousin Rian. She was asleep when we got there. Yes.

And then we watched two episodes of Adventure Time. Only two because the parentals wanted to watch something different. Boo.

The day practically ended and I felt productive. Fulfilled, even. I'm not that religious and prayerful but I do have faith in God. I'm glad I spent my holy week very well. I am very blessed to have my family. I hope you had a blessed holy week, too!

Audrie being fasyonabol 2k13

Okay so I don't really know what came up in my mind but I did this and I have no regrets (kinda). It's summer already and I need something to wear. (Naks.) Also because I only have one sleeveless top. This is the second yay.

I just want to let you know that being a girl is cool, too.

That is all~

Infected

I finally did something artsy! *Throws a party*

Remember that time I posted a low quality photo of that zombie drawing I made? Well here is a much better version of it. I actually thought I lost it but then I found it and I thank Jesus for serendipity yaaaaayyyy. Using my ~*new*~ set of watercolors, I decided to be productive and whatnot. It was a lot of work since I'm very meticulous when it comes to things like this. It took me almost an hour outlining the edges with a thin marker and a good hour and a half coloring it. But it was fun because I am finally coming back to my roots and my mother land~

Also because I know a lot of you guys are gaga over The Walking Dead and all that flesh-eating craze. Well me, too. So this is for you zombie-loving fellas. Here's to waiting for every episode.

Here it is! It looks a bit crappy, I know but I think I did a good job. I don't even know if they look like zombies to you? Do they? Or do they not? (Please say yes.)

~ang mata nya ay color yeh-llow~

If you know the song Mang Jose by Parokya Ni Edgar then you'd probably get what the "yeh-llow" meant hahaha. The first time I heard that song, I thought it was about the mythical aswangs in the province. I later on learned that it was about greedy policemen. *Face palms self on the Great Wall of China*

Hello, I come in peace. May I devour your whole being?

Smile for all of your worth, my dear.

The finished product, yay! (I'm not actually sure if it's "finished". Well the infected fella on the upper left side is supposed to be white because it's a skull. Duh. He turned himself to a Boney.)

It looks... Okay. It looks mediocre for me. I'm actually planning to digitally edit it and add some ~photoshop magic~ and produce it as stickers so I could sell it. Business is always good. Soon.

Summer 2013

What's a teenager's blog without a post about summer? Haha, joking. Anyway, it's already summer! I've had a lot in my mind when classes were still going on. I mean I had a lot of plans and I actually made a list of what I'm planning to do this summer (I lost it somewhere in the classroom, though). Like playing the piano (I kind of stopped), read more and more books (I read 4 books last January and I am hungry for MORE), letting my ~letting my artistic skills soar through the skies~ and lots and lots of working out. Seriously, I don't know how to manage it all in just a matter of three months but I think I can handle it. Who am I kidding? It's summer! I can do anything. (Feeling wild and free HAHAHA).

One of the things I'm looking forward to are going out and discovering new things. I've been dying to visit The Collective in Makati for ages now and I know nothing about that place. I guess that's what makes it so "new" to me. I heard that it's a very good and ideal place for art, music and pop-culture lovers. I've never been to that place and ugh, the feelings I get whenever I think about visiting the place!

Heck, I even searched Google Maps for directions from Rockwell. (If you're asking why, well my dad and I always hang around Rockwell. And no, we don't live there. We are not rich people. We are peasants, only a bit richer hahaha, joke.)

One word: AAAAHHHH. You see? THIS is the reason why The Collective is a blessed place.  I was smitten when I saw this because it's not everyday you find a compound surrounded by  these doodles. It feels like home aww. How I wish I could create something like that in real life~

Also this one AAAAHHH!!!! I literally rolled on the floor and scrunched up my face when I saw this. It looks so alive and fresh from the creator's mind huhuhu so beautiful. I really can't wait to see it in person and cry in awe while I dramatically touch the wall~~

If you're a big fan of vintage things like vinyls and old books and the smell of it, then Cubao Expo--or Cubao X for some--is the place for you. From fifty-peso vinyls, to great bargains of books and toys, Cubao X is home to some of the greatest finds in Manila. Abandoned toys, books, antique materials can be found in this place. (Look, I did a research in Google Maps for directions, too!) I may or may not have heard my relatives who live in the North talk about Cubao X and the stores. Well I hope they bring me there hehe.

I know inside every on of us is a very nostalgic human being who wants to engulf himself in the past. UVLA is always there to cater your needs if you're feeling old and... indie hehehhe.

Another set of AAAHHHs for this store. Too bad I forgot the name of this shop but I'm pretty sure they sell slippers/footwear. Look at that lovely art piece, I could just tear up while staring at it huhu.

Heima also has a branch in Cubao X! Heima is a furniture store, selling modern-style things. They're known for being cute and Victorian-ish, with most of their products being all pastel-colored. I'm looking forward to visiting this place hehe.

Aside from going to the mall, of course I want to my summer to be filled with new and foreign discoveries. I don't want it to be dull and boring. This is why this post was produced. I was supposed to attend this Art Workshop in Ayala Museum but then we backed out because it was very expensive and the means of transportation is not very practical. Manix Abrera a.k.a. the creator of Kikomachine Komix would be the workshop master and I can't help but feel bad about it because I'm a big fan of his work. Sigh.

But it won't stop me from doing more art because it's one of my "big" plans this summer hehe.

Also:

I downloaded their film! It was amazing and I literally cried while watching it because IT WAS GREAT. Especially when they played Girls Like You & Young Blood. I can't help my feelings huhu.

Also this! The lineup is itself screams awesome. I never thought they'd bring these bands here in Manila. The Temper Trap and Avalanche City? YES! Also Up Dharma Down ahh! Although I'm not really sure if I should go because of the ticket price. I think I just heard my heart shatter into a million pieces.

Fall Out Boy released their new album's cover art! I'm so excited to hear their new record. This band has a lot in store for us fans, I can tell. Can't wait for April 15!

It's summer already, so why don't you enjoy a sight of beautiful daisies dancing in the wind under the sun's rays.

Also fries.
