We don't know when to quit

We bought this yesterday and I was beyond excited to read it. But then we got home and everything changed. "905 questions", it read. NINE HUNDRED FIVE QUESTIONS. How do you expect me to finish this reviewer? How do you even expect me to solve all the Math Problems? But I'm not quitting because Fall Out Boy said so. HEHEHEHE.

Anyway!!! Fall Out Boy's new music video just came out!!! Please watch it in HD, it's very... beautiful....
30 Seconds To Mars also has something new for us. Huhuhu it really is a good time for music.I watched this video in HD and waah I loved it very much. Dita Von Teese is featured in this video (so. PRETTY. UGH). I don't know about you but this band is great, okay. Plus the fact that their music videos are bursting with quality! God bless this band.

Well, this happened and agh why am I not in California. Seriously, that place has it ALL. Coachella, cool places, the beach, fresh lemonades, palm trees everywhere and ugh COACHELLA!!! WHY WHY WHY. Imagine Paul McCartney, Phoenix, Vampire Weekend (cries), Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Hall & Oates and Young The Giant AND ALL THE GREAT ARTISTS. IN ONE. MUSIC. FEST. It's one of my life goals to go to a music fest like this, okay :-(

By the way, the third book of the Divergent trilogy has been revealed! Veronica Roth herself announced it the other day (I think...)! Allegiant will be out on October 22, 2013 and I am beyond stoked!
Now if you're wondering why this man is up here.... Well I want Freddie Stroma to play Four/Tobias Eaton huhu. I know they're already filming Divergent but I just can't help imagining him to be Tobias!!! Because God, he looks so Dauntless. His eyes are screaming the word Abnegation but he looks so Dauntless in every way!!! And he is very attractive.... oh my god. If the casting gods cast him as Tobias Eaton, I will be forever thankful.

Today is Monday and I woke very early. Happy Monday, everyone!

I really love summer music so...

One of the few things I love about summer is the music. Especially when it's all dance-y and electronic and full of life hihi. Also when it's very loud!!! I don't know but that's how I feel about music every summer, it feels so... free and liberated. I hope you get meeeeee.

Anyway, here is my summer playlist (naks). I've been listening to these songs quite a lot. You'll know what I mean if you gave them a listen.

This is definitely my favorite. Well one of my favorites. It's like God collaborated with them while making this music. It's great and it sounds so chill and ahh. Life is good.

Drive around late at night. Listen to this song. On a high volume. Roll down your windows. You are welcome.

Self-explanatory. I love Vampire Weekend as much as I love breathing.

This band is so underrated and I swear to God, they are GOOD! I think they deserve more media attention?

If you were at Coachella last 14th, then I hate you. Joking. Ugh consider yourself lucky and blessed because Two Door Cinema Club was there along with The XX. I watched Coachella, too, you know. In my computer screen. Ha-ha-ha.

This song is so sweet I want to jump off a building. Also because it has a lot of feeling in it. Marriage equality should be legalized EVERYWHERE. And yes, congrats to New Zealand for they are now an equal country. They should've played this song the other day haha. But yes I really love this song. Love is patient; Love is kind.

The Maine and This Century finally released their new singles!!! I'm so happy because they were released on the same day!!! These bands never fail to disappoint aaahhh.

SO THIS ACTUALLY HAPPENED. I KNOW RIGHT. ALL MY FAVORITE PEOPLE IN ONE VIDEO. LET THE YELLING COMMENCE. Okay so this is very unexpected. Just look at Dan and Phil, trying to contain themselves from fangirling!!! These boys are big fans of Fall Out Boy. I mean, look at Dan, he professed his love for their music. Jesus, just watch the video! IT WAS VERY FUNNY. Just imagine them interviewing Muse HAHAHA.

(I can't help but notice Dan's height. He's taller than everybody.)

Well this is me professing my love for these bands and two youtubers. No big deal.

Secret Ceremonials

Being in the Philippines on the month of April may be considered "fun" and "adventurous" for others, especially if you're from a foreign country BUT (emphasis is necessary) for me, it has been very boring. Sure, it's already summer and I can now finally do anything like go out, explore places and eat out with friends. The exact opposite is happening and I feel like a loser at home with nothing to do. So like:

People: Going to the beach tomorrow!
Me: Oh my god I have to download this movie!
People: Movie later with friends...
Me: This album sounds great, I have to give it a full listen
People: *Insert foreign country here*!!! Flight tomorrow at 5 am, can't wait!
Me: *finished 5 seasons of a certain TV show* *finished 2 seasons of another TV show*
Me: THIS T.V. SHOW IS RUINING MY LIFE UGH I LOVE THEM ALL!!!
Me: Oops it's 4 pm, time to listen to music and cry!!!
Me: I have to finish this book!!!

SEE? But okay, I admit, it's fun to wake up at 11 am. It's fun not hearing your alarm clock beeping. It's fun, fun, FUN. (I sound like an old man.)

Anyway, I've been reading quite a lot lately and I'm loving it because I've been feeling empty and illiterate lately, hahaha.

(I'm sorry if this turns out to be bad but I'm trying.)

The Realm of Possibility by David Levithan

"One school. Twenty voices.

Endless possibilities.

There's the girl who is in love with Holden Caulfield. The boy who wants to be strong who falls for the girl who's convinced she needs to be weak. The girl who writes love songs for a girl she can't have. The two boys teetering on the brink of their first anniversary. And everyone in between."

The moment I read the name Holden Caulfield, I went crazy. You have no idea how much I love The Catcher in the Rye. I immediately searched google for a .pdf file and thank God, I found one. Praise the book gods. If you're into poetry and prose and all that jazz, this is the book for you. This book is consisted of five parts with four chapters, each representing a narrative form of story-telling. (Are my terms even accurate...)

This is the kind of book that make word-lovers swoon. I, myself, swooned. No shame. The author did a good job on combining the words and phrases.

If He Had Been With Me by Laura Nowlin

"Throughout their whole childhood, Finn and Autumn were inseparable—they finished each other's sentences, they knew just what to say when the other person was hurting. But one incident in middle school puts them in separate social worlds come high school, and Autumn has been happily dating James for the last 2 years. But she's always wondered what if...

The night she's about to get the answer is also one of terrible tragedy."

(Published on April 1st, 2013)

I'm not yet done reading this book but if you're into a lot of surprises and and all that young adult craze, then you should give this a try. I'm /almost/ done and I'm loving the story and characters more and more. Especially Phineas U G H. Why can't fictional characters come to life?

AND YES!!! This has been the highlight of my week and OH MY GOD MY FEELINGS. It all started yesterday when someone tweeted "Some Kind Of Wonderful!" And I kind of screamed because THAT MOVIE AHHHHH. You don't know how much I love that movie because 1.) It's MY life story (joke only, but yeah you get the picture); 2.) IT JUST GETS ME YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND. So anyway I watched the movie and the pains of being a teenager with unstoppable hormones came back. This is movie is so perfect it made me cry I'm not even ashamed of it, OKAY.

(Also my John Hughes phase came back. I don't know but somewhere between October to December I kind of worshipped him and there came a point in my life that I don't know anymore and so I would watch Sixteen Candles and The Breakfast Club to keep myself grounded. And then I would sing 80's songs out of nowhere and wow I think I'm doing that again? And then I had these dreams of having Molly Ringwald's style and face and Molly Ringwald's everything??? DO YOU FEEL ME.)

But okay back to this legendary movie.

UGH JESUS LOOK AT THE WAY KEITH LOOKS AT HER MY GOD THAT FACE COULD SAVE THE HUMANKIND.

You know that scene :-( When Watts drove them all around the town :-( Hahaha, I know. :-(

So if you're wondering... yes this movie is the story of my life HAHAHA. I know so cheesy and sappy and sticky and romantic and I know right, so not me. But I'm going to repeat it again, this movie made me bawl like a freaking baby and I know it sounds corny but I have this feeling for old movies. I may be embarrassing myself here but... HAHAHA. OMG :-(

This may be a boring summer but I'm spending it damn well.

Just One Yesterday

Okay so Fall Out Boy leaked (yes) their own album!!! I did not see THAT coming since the album will be out in  a few days. Seriously? I don't know maybe they're just really excited for the fans to hear it. I heard it already BUT, I stopped. I couldn't do it because 1) I pre-ordered the album; 2) It feels like cheating, if you know what I mean...; 3) ALL OF THE ABOVE. But being the obsessive-compulsive fan that I am, I listened to 6 songs. As of now my favorite is Just One Yesterday, Young Volcanoes, Alone Together and of course Save Rock and Roll. Props to Sir Elton John! (Two days before the official release of the album, HALLELUJAH!)

Also, I read 7 books last week. Wow I have no life. Anyway, here they are:
  • Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan
  • The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
  • I Conquer Britain by Dyan Sheldon
  • Zombicorn by John Green
  • The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith
  • The Lover's Dictionary by David Levithan
  • The Realm of Possibility by David Levitahn
I went swimming with my second year classmates yesterday and I had lots of fun! Really. Even though I bumped my head on the slide real hard. (It really hurts okay, I almost cried.) It was gret because I finally get to swim and and be a mermaid aww. Also because I hung out with my friends hehe.

I'm thankful for things like this.

RAK 'EN ROL

I wasn't able to attend Manix Abrera's art workshop (which is very very sad). Today is the last day of the workshop and I can't help but think, "I could've been on the way home by this time from Ayala Museum if I attended the workshop" or "Okay I hate everything please go away, I am in a very emotional state don't talk to me". Yeah. The pains of loving art too much.

Anyhoo, it has been my hobby to lurk around Mister Abrera's facebook page. And so the lurking started from "basic" to "rak en rol" to "hardcore." (Last Christmas break, I spent like 3 hours  reading comic strips. No shame.)

And I think it's time for me to share these wonderful , our of the universe works. RAK EN ROL MGA PARE!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA THIS.

this is one of my favorites because during grade school, my classmates would have this kind of conversation wherein they're saying these cuss words like, "tang ama mo!" or "tang inumin mo wag milo!". Hahaha it's still very funny huhuhu.

HELLO TEACHERS! JOKE.

FAVORITE STRIP OF ALL!!!! HAHAHAHA THE FIRST TIME I SAW THIS WAS LAST YEAR AND IT'S STILL VERY FUNNY OKAY. AS IN SOBRA

And yes, Mr. Abrera's new book!
